Ligia María Storrs Rojas started her career in Colombia, producing and writing her first short film for Oscar nominated (Best Foreign Film) Ciro Guerra. She is currently an independent producer and director based in Orange County, California. She is co-founder of Storrs Productions where she directs fiction, commercial productions, and documentary projects including the Short Film “Our Rose Garden”, nominated to Best Short Film Award and Best Screenplay Short film at the ICFF 2018 and selected as a Finalist for Best Short Film at the Love International Film Festival 2018.

In her past work she has produced a variety of programming for TV networks like EWTN and directed the faith-based web series “Click Gospel”. She has a Master’s degree in Film and Television Writing and Production from the Catholic University of Milan, completed a certificate in cinematography at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, and has been trained at the recognized Italian production company Lux Vide as part of the story-editing department. Ligia Maria Storrs wrote in collaboration with screenwriter Angelica Figueroa a project named “Peter Claver, the slave of slaves,” which was nominated for a screenwriting award by the Film Promotion Fund sponsored by the Colombian government. She has also studied directing actors under UCLA’s Alexander D’ Lerma and speaks fluent English, Spanish and Italian.
