Ligia Maria Storrs Rojas started her career in Colombia, writing and producing her first short film for Oscar-nominated (Best Foreign Film) Ciro Guerra. She is currently an independent writer-director based in Orange County, California. She is co-founder of Storrs Productions, where she directs fiction projects, including the Short Film “Our Rose Garden,” winner of several Film Awards: Best Faith Film at the Long Beach Indie International Film Festival, Best Short Film Script at the GLCFF, a Bronze Remi Award and the Values Award at Baja California International Film Festival.

She works as an associate producer and writer for Family Theater Productions and, in her past work, has produced a variety of programming for TV networks like EWTN. Ligia Maria Storrs has a Master’s degree in Film and Television Writing and Production from the Catholic University of Milan, completed a certificate in cinematography at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, and has been trained at the recognized Italian production company Lux Vide as part of the story-editing department. Ligia Maria Storrs co-wrote a project named “Peter Claver, the slave of slaves,” nominated for a screenwriting award by the Film Promotion Fund sponsored by the Colombian government. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Italian.
